Book Review – The Priest’s Graveyard

The Priest’s Graveyard

Ted Dekker

If you are a fan of dark and twisted lives, this might be a book for you.  Danny Hansen is a Bosnian immigrant who came to America to escape tragic war memories.  He is a priest become avenging angel, exacting his own judgement on evil people who manage to avoid legal justice.  Renee Gilmore is a frail and helpless victim of evil.  She lives to satisfy her own desire for justice.  Their lives become entwined in their pursuits and an unusual relationship develops.  It’s a story of the dangers of revenge and the power of love.  Told in alternating viewpoints, Dekker builds each chapter to a suspenseful peak then breaks away to the other viewpoint.  It keeps you on edge till the end.  Read as a stand alone book or continue the story with SANCTUARY.
