Essay, Handwriting & Photo Contests at the Lebo Branch Library

All contests are open to children and adults and must be submitted to the Lebo City Hall by noon on Wednesday, June 27th 

Lebo Independence Day Essay Contest -Opportunity to write a patriotic essay or an essay on “My Favorite Holiday”, which is the theme of this year’s parade.  Essays are to be 0n an 8.5 x 11 inch white or light colored lined or unlined paper.  The essay may be typed or hand-written in pen or pencil.

Lebo Independence Day Handwriting Contest – The Contest is open to functional penmanship, either cursive or manuscript (printing) done with a pencil or pen which is the style used in daily life and done for legibility, speed and fluency.  It is also open to artistic handwriting done with decorative strokes using markers, pens or a brush.  To enter a person is to write the words to the pledge to the U.S. Flag on 8.5 x 11 inch plain or lined white or light colored paper.

“Lebo July 4th Photo Contest” – The contest is open to all photographers.  Maximum of three entries per person is allowed.  The photo subject matter must be Lebo based.  (Contact the Lebo Library for copies of required photo release/entry form)
